Crippled Children Form Orchestra
Children in the Princess Alexandra Red Cross Home for Crippled Children, in Hong Kong, have formed their own orchestra, according to a report in “News of Red Cross.”
The home gives security and education to 60 handicapped chidren, all of whom are either orphaned, abandoned, or from very poor homes. Many children have had corrective operations. Although considerable outside help has been received for constructing and equipping the home, the Hong Kong branch of the Red Cross Society meets running expenses. It costs about £62 a year for each child there.
