High Prices For Bulls

(Special Crspdt. N.ZP.A.) LONDON, September 10. Twelve Aberdeen Angus bulls bred in Britain sold for £16,000 at the annual sale of imported bulls at Buenos Aires,

The top price £4520 was paid for the two-year-old Excelsior of Dunkeld by Newhouse Excelsior, now in New Zealand.

The agricultural editor of “The Press" says Newhouse Excelsior recently arrived out of quarantine on the property of Mr J. MacFarlane, Waiterenui, Hastings. It has been acquired privately from Major Read, of Dunkeld.

Newhouse Excelsior is a half-brother of Edwin of Hungerford, which was acquired for Mr MacFarlane for 6800gns at the Perth sales in 1962. Both are sons of the noted sire, Jewvil Eric of Manorhill. Newhouse Excelsior had a notable record at shows in Scotland last summer.
