Newhouse Excelsior is a half-brother of Edwin of Hungerford, which was acquired for Mr MacFarlane for 6800gns at the Perth sales in 1962. Both are sons of the noted sire, Jewvil Eric of Manorhill. Newhouse Excelsior had a notable record at shows in Scotland last summer.
