TEST-BAN SIGNING
Rejection Of E. Germany (N .Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) LONDON, Aug. 17. Britain yesterday rejected Soviet notifications that East Germany had signed the Nuclear Test-Ban Treaty. The Soviet Union earlier this week sent Britain a Note containing a list of the countries which have up to now signed the Russian text of the treaty in Moscow. This included the name of East Germany.
Britain in a Note handed over to the Soviet Embassy in London said it could not accept notification about East Germany because it did not recognise it as a sovereign state.
