Using a 3-iron, Mrs R. Ayrey, of Waimairi Beach, holed tn one at the third hole at Russley while playing against Waitiklri in the Canterbury District Ladies’ Golf Association pennant matches. Results were: Silver Division Templeton 3, Avondale 3.—Mrs J Lees (8) beat Mrs L. R. McCleary (13), 2 and 1; Mrs W. A. Lake (16) beat Mrs J. Claydon (15). 6 and 5; Mrs A. Cormack (9) halved with Mrs B. Perry (15); Mrs H. G. Forster (17) lost to Mrs A. Reay (17), 6 and 5. Mesdames Lees and Lake halved with Mesdames McCleary and Claydon; Mesdames Cormack and Forster lost to Mesdames Perry and Reay. 2 and 1.
