CAMPAIGN IN VICTORIA
Ilumquh And Lei "The Press" Special Service WELLINGTON, Aug. 20. Arrangements were completed today for Humquh and Lei to fly to Melbourne next month to take part in the spring meetings in Victoria. It is expected that the flight will leave Wellington airport about September 18. On his last visit to Melbourne in 1960, Ilumquh won the Caulfield and Williamstown Cups and finished a close third In the Melbourne Centenary Cup to Hi-Jinx and Howsie in an all-New Zealand finish. He is raced by Mr A. C. Williams, of Masterton. Lei, winner of the Winter Cup at the Grand National meeting in her first start in open company, graduated from hacks at the recent Wellington winter meeting. She is owned by Mr lan Macrae, also of Masterton. Both horses are trained at Woodville by E. Ropiha, who took Ilumquh to Australia three years ago.
