Australia Beats New Zealand
(NJ!. Press Association) DUNEDIN. August 20. By defeating Neu- Zealand Universities at a debate tonight, the Australian Universities debasing team won the Tasman Trophy when it was contested for the first time I. Lawny (Sydney). R. Walsh (Sydney), and T. Coulthard (Newcastle), argued the affirmative of the motion "That Morality Proceeds From Fear.” The New Zealanders. L. Moore. J. Bluck. and D Page, all of Canterbury, took the negative. The three judges were Mr Justice Henry, Professor F W Mitchell, and Mr J S. D More Professor Mitchell complimented the teams on the high standard attained and said die subject was handled ably, with good material and good presentation.
