Yard Holding 30 Arrest Warrants

(NJZ. Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, August 20. Scotland Yard believed it knew four of the ringleaders of the Cheddington train robbery gang, the “Daily Express” reported today. Swift action by Flying Squad men was expected.

The dusty interior of the farmhouse is believed to hsve yielded a wealth of information to police, including 12 sets of identifiable fingerprints. Two men who police thoght might be connected with the train robbery stayed for two nights after the raid at a small terrace house in Oxford. The landlady. 63-year-old Mrs Ida Louise Pope, said the two men paid her seven days’ rent in advance. They asked to be put up fo r a week, but left after two days When they arrived in the evening after the raid, the men carried in three large suitcases, she said They said they were "businessmen who had given up business."
