Out Of The Bag The sum of £1 17s 9d for cat food on the Christchurch Drainage Board's list of accounts test evening caused some amusement among board members. Mr D. P. McLellan asked if the board actually owned a cat Amid laughter, the secretary (Mr T. A Tucker) said he did not think there was one on the staff. After the meeting, however, he looked up details of the account and found the board did in feet have a cat—in its Tuam street store. Target In Sight With five weeks still to run. the £lOO.OOO fundraising campaign for a ChrisTs College assembly hall has reached £72,000. Driver Found As the result of a report in “The Press" yesterday, drawing attention to a police request for witnesses, the driver of a car involved in an accident had been located, said Sergeant L. F. Association’s show this year Several inquiries have been received at “The Press” office and telephone calls to the A. and P. Association’s office have been numerous. The dates are November 13. 14 and 15. It has been generally thought that people’s day is the second Friday in November; but this is not always so. The date of the show is calculated from Labour Day week-end and race days are taken into consideration.
