French Frigate Leaves
CN.Z Press Association) AUCKLAND, Aug 19 The French frigate Commandant Riviere left Auckland for Papeete this morning after a four-day goodwill visit. She was bidden farewell by a small crowd —mostly girls One of the girls became engaged to an engineer in the ship during its short stay. The frigate exercised in the Hauraki Gulf with H.M.N.Z.S. Taranaki before leaving New Zealand waters late this afternoon.
