Hororata Draws With Battalion In a very even game, with both sets of forwards working well. Hororata and Second Battalion fought out a 5-5 draw r n the first spell the Hororata forwards were overshadowed but cney came to life after halftime and began to dominate the game. The determined Battalion backs worked well and a magnificent try by J. Young was converted oy C. Glass. In the second spell the Hororata backs retaliated with a try by P. Blakely. Blakely gathered in a loose ball to score a good try. This he also converted. A draw was a good indication of play. The referee was Mr C. R. Greenaway. In another Grey Cup match. Darfield defeated Black Diamonds. 13-5. The referee was Mr J. Holliday.
