N.Z. Asked To Aid U.N. Fund
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) NEW YORK, August 15. New Zealand was one of eight countries to which the United Nations civilian operGeneral (U Thant) appealed to for more funds for the United Nation’s civilian operation in the Congo, yesterday. It is understood U Thant is seeking a total of about two million dollars from nonAmerican sources, which the United States has undertaken to match dollar for dollar and has informed the New Zealand Government of this in a letter handed to the resident representative, Mr Frank Corner, at the meeting.
