Mid-year Contest In Ashburton . The Ashburton ParentTeacher Tap Dancing Committee held its mid-year festival recently in the Repertory Theatre. Mr J. Lethaby, of Christchurch, was the judge. Results are:— Tap-dance under 6: Judith Leen 1, Anne Paterson 2, Alison Hydes 3. Song and dance under 8: Jillian Armitage 1, Yvonne King 2, Lyndsay Vine 3. Local novice (8 and under 10): Carol Wilson 1, Jennifer Hydes 2. Janet Bush 3. 10 and over: Helen Kingan 1, Barbara Bright 2. Shirley Street 3.
