PIPE BANDS’ CONTEST
Provincial Meeting At Rangiora The annual provincial pipe bands’ contest will be held at Rangiora on November 30, it was decided at the annual meeting of the North Canterbury and West Coast centre of the New Zelaand, Highland Pipe Bands’ Association. The 23 delegates were told that a good entry was expected. The annual piping and drumming contest will be held at the Phillipstown School on October 5 and 6. Officers elected were: president. Mr A. W. Thomson: secretary, Mr J. Paton; delegates to Dominion council. Messrs A. Miller, A. McAlpine. and J. Gowans; press liaison officer, Mrs N. Raymond.
