52-3 Win Was Relief (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. July 34. The Auckland Rugby selectorcoach. Mr F. Allen, said today he te not complacent after vesterday’s 52-3 win over Thames Valley. There were still a few wrinkles to be ironed out before Auckland enters the Ranfurly Shield series. "I was tremendously relieved at the team's: win, especially after its poor showing at New Plymouth, but the handling of the backs and the loose forwards’ speed to the ball still need to’ be sharpened.” said Mr Allen.
“I knew it was just a matter of time before the boys clicked, and it should be full steam ahead from now on.”
