HOOKING LAW SOUGHT
Proposal By Wellington (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. July 24. At the special meeting on laws on Monday the Wellington Rugby Union will press for the introduction of the amended hooking rules experimented with m New Zealand last season and the season before. “We feel that the first essential is to get the scrum moving quickly.” said the chairman or the Wellington union. Mr J N Millard, today. "Nothing is more wearisome to players and the crowd than to have the ball in and out of the scrum several times before it Is legally hooked.”
