MISSING CAR RECOVERED
Mr S. B. Berryman, a builder, of 798 Hills road, yesterday recovered his car, which had been missing for H days aifiter being converted while parked in Cambridge terrace. A report in “The Press” yesterday was read by a resident of Dormer street, Papanui. He telephoned Mr Berryman to tell him that his ear had been parked outside hi« house for 11 days. The resident had no idea that the car had been converted until he read the report. Mr Berryman was overjoyed to recover his car. worth £3OO, undamaged. He was even more pleased when he found his carpenter’s tools, worth £BO, intact in the boot of the car. The car had been parked within haM a mile of the Papanui Police Station. Mr Berryman informed the police that he had recovered has car, which he had reported missing on July 12. “I am most grateful to The Press’ for directly helping me to get back my car,” Mr Berryman said.
