Girls’ Uniform At Mairehau H.S.
A uniform for girls at the Mairehau High School had now been settled, the headmaster (Mr A. B. Ryan) told the board of governors yesterday. The girls will wear white blouses with Air Force blue terylehe skirts, box pleaded all round, cardigans and blazers as at present, and low-heeled, medium-pointed shoes. Senior girls may wear 30-denier nylon stockings. Mr Ryan put the proposal to the board to approve, or "to amend at your peril.’’ The proposal was approved.
