RE-ELECTED PRESIDENT
(N.Z. Press Association) • WELLINGTON, July 23 # . Mr J. S. Meadowcroft, 'of Wellington, was re-elected president of the National Party at its conference today. He was nominated by all five divisions of the party. Elected for the first time last year, Mr Meadowcroft
is a businessman also interested in farming. He stood for Parliament in 1949 and 1951.
Mrs M. W. Campbell (Te Aroha) was elected woman vice-president for the North Island, and Mrs L. G. Cooper iKaituna) for the South Island.
Mr M. Te Hau (Auckland) was elected vice-president representing the Maori race.
