Paraparaumu Development
(NZ. Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 8. The development of Paraparaumu airport to trans-Tasman standards for about £2 million will be discussed at a conference in Wellington tomorrow.
The talks are to be held among the Minister of Civil Aviation (Mr McAlpine), the Air Secretary (Mr B. R. Rae), the Director of Civil Aviation (Sir Arthur Nevill) and the Mayors and chairmen of local authorities in the Wellington area.
Though the talks will be exploratory, agreement will be sought on how best to finance the airport’s development The Government can be expected to seek local body assistance.
