Steady Prices For N.Z. Lamb
New Zealand lamb madntained steady prices on London's Smithfield market last week, according to the Meat Board market information service.
There was a moderate inquiry for increased supplies of New Zealand mutton. Hoggets were at 16Jd to 18jd per lb, wethers at 12d to 17d per lb and ewes 10d to 15d per lb. New Zealand frozen G.A.Q. ox hinds were quoted at 22Jd to 23d per lb. fores at 15d per lb and cow hinds at 20d per lb. Quotations for lamb:— Var’n.
