RAILWAYMEN’S WAGES
Special Meeting Of A.S.R.S.
The Canterbury branch of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants will hold a special general meeting at 10 a.m. on Sunday at the Carlyle Street Hall. The meeting is in protest against the alleged inadequacy of wage increases granted after the Government’s consideration of the ruling rate survey. Messrs H. Cooper and J. Alford, Dominion councillors of the society’s executive, are expected to address the meeting.
