SERVICE FOR FREYBERG
Arrangements Announced (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 8. A memorial service for the late Lord Freyberg will be held in the Cathedral Church of St. Paul, Mulgrave street. Wellington, at 11 a.m. next Thursday, the Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) announced tonight.
“I know that many people will wish to be present at the service to pay their respects to the memory of Lord Freyberg,” said Mr Holyoake.
‘•lnvitations are being sent out to a number of representative individuals and bodies, but some seating will be available for the general public, “I am grateful to the Bishop of Wellington, the Right Rev. H. W. Baines, for making the Cathedral Church available for this service and for undertaking the necessary arrangements,” said Mr Holyoake.
