N.Z. PREMIERE OF WAR FILM
Proceeds To Go To
Medical Research Gross proceeds from the New Zealand premiere of the film “PT109,” to be screened at the Regent Theatre on July 25, will be given to the Canterbury Medical Research Foundation. The film is based on the sinking in the Solomon Island in 1943 of the patrolboat captained by Lieutenant John F. Kennedy, now President of the United States of America. It follows the adventures of Mr Kennedy and his crew while hidden by the local people from the Japanese occupying forces.
