Six Cases Of Dermatitis
Six cases of industrial dermatitis were notified to the Christchurch health office last week. The sufferers were all working with tiles in the Christthurch-Lyttelton road tunnel.
Six cases of tuberculosis were notified. Three—two women and a man in Christchurch city—had the pulmonary form of the disease, a man in the city had renal tuberculosis, and two women in Waimairi county had, respectively, disseminated tuberculosis and tuberculosis of the soft tissue. There was one death from tuberculosis during the week. A 15-year-old boy at Kaikoura was notified with infective hepatitis, and there were cases of opthalmia neonatorum and puerperal fever in city hospitals.
