INJURED MAN FLOWN OUT
Crushed By Tractor (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, July 8. An Auckland Aero Club aircraft made a mercy flight to Waiheke Island today when a man was crushed in a tractor accident. Mr Gordon Robert Edwards. aged 48, of Onetangi, Waiheke Island, suffered fractured ribs and possibly a fractured skull.
The ambulance plane arrived at 1.30 p.m., an hour after the accident. The patient was taken to Ardmore aerodrome and then to Middlemore hospital. His condition tonight was satisfactory.
