Billiards Simons And Yesberg To Meet In Final

E. Simons, who was in top form with breaks of 94, 69. and 53 in a Quarter-final and 75, 54, 46, and 41 in a semifinal. should strongly challenge the holder, T. Yesberg, when they meet in the final of the Canterbury billiards championship at the Christchurch Workingmen’s Club this evening. Results in the quarter-finals were:—Yesberg 500, Anderson 279; Kirkness 500. O’Callaghan 308; Higgins 500, Maffey 159; Simons beat Carson. In the semi-finals, Yesberg beat Kirkness, 500-408. and Simons beat Higgins, 500-352. Other breaks were:—-Quarter-finals: O'Callaghan, 76, 43; Kirkness, 78, 45, 41. Semifinals: Yesberg. 54; Higgins, 54; Kirkness, 52.
