TOWN BEATS COUNTRY.—The annual Rugby match played between Town and Country at Lancaster Park was won by Town after a bitter forward struggle. TOP: The Country half-back, M. Reid, trying to kick for the line as A. J. Stewart lunges at him. The Town hooker, D. Young, is moving from the front of the line-out to smother the kick. BOTTOM: The Town centre seems to be horror-struck as he props before passing to his wing. Chasing him are the Country backs, D. Wyllie (left) and F. Meyer.
