Egg Production Trial
Birds leading in egg production at the end of the fourth month in the New Zealand Utility Poultry Club’s laying trial were:—
Six Bird Teams.—Australorps, E. G. Wood (Leeston), 623 eggs: white leghorns. R. J Thom (Christchurch), 630; any other variety, Miss M. Barker (Orari), 603 (Rhode Island Red).
Twenty Bird Teams.— Australorps. W. A. McClatchy (Kaiapoit. 1812 eggs; white leghorne. Mrs A. V. Christianson (Timaru), 1675. Highest Egg Production for the Month of 28 Days.—Six bird teams. R. J. Thom’s Australorps. 164 eggs: 20 bird teams. W. A. McClatchy's Australorps. 450 eggs.
