Schools’ Trees Increasing
Two thousand trees have been planted by the South Malvern District Schools’ endowment plantation scheme. The annual meeting was told that 200 Oregon pines, 50 Pinus radiata and 40 larches were added to the plantation in the last year. Arbor Day will be held on August 6, and it is expected that children from all three schools in the scheme, Glentunnel. Homebush, and South .Malvern, will continue the planting of Oregon and Pinus radiata in new areas and those to be banked up. Mr E. Karst was re-elected chairman, with Mr P. Allen as secretary-treasurer.
