Admissions And Promotions
Promotions and admissions tc various grades within the Order of St. John have been approved by the Queen as Sovereign head of the order as follows:
Promotion to the grade of officer (brother): Mr D. J. Somerville (Waikari). Admission to the grade of serving brother: Mr J. F. Forster (Greymouth), Mr J. H. Skinner (Christchurch). Admission to the grade of serving sister: Miss C. C. Scott (Timaru), Mrs P. Totty (Ashburton), Mrs B. S. Oldershaw (Nelson). Votes of thanks from the New Zealand priory to Mr J. H Millard (Granity) and Mrs C E. Wright (Christchurch) have been approved by the Governor - General (Sir Bernard Fergusson). who is prior for the Dominion.
