Laundry Depot Hand's
The Canterbury LaundryReceiving Depot Hands (Female) Award provides for increases in minimum weekly wages varying from 3s lOd to 12s 3d. A worker in sole charge is to be paid not less than an additional 10s 3d a week and where she is in darge of one assistant or more she is to be paid an additional 15s 6d a week. The wages clause is retrospective to May 13 and the rest of the award came into effect on June 7. The award, which includes an unqualified preference clause, incorporates the terms of settlement reached before a Conciliation Council.
