An Amateur Singer
A fee paid by the New Zealand Broadcasting Corporation to the English lock, A. M. Davis, for a recording of popular songs he made for it in Napier will be given to charity. A meeting of the management committee of the Canterbury Rugby Union last evening was told by Mr 8. R. Southall that Mr T. J. W. Berry, manager of the England team, had said that Davis could not accept the cheque and wanted it given to a charity. The meeting decided to forward the cheque for two guineas to the St. John Ambhlance.
