Netherlands Minister About To Return Home

WELLINGTON, June 11
In the next few years, migration from the Netherlands to New Zealand should continue about last year’s number of 1000, the Minister of the Netherlands, Baron O. F. Bentinck van Schoonheten, said in an interview today. Baron Bentinck will leave an June 21 for Holland after representing the Netherlands in New Zealand for four years.
Baron Bentinck said that the peak for Dutch emigration to New Zealand was about 2000 in one year. There was now full employment in Holland and most Dutch people wishing to come here were those with relatives and friends already in the Dominion. There were also those Who felt they required more room to live
Baron Bentinck described the opening of the duckshooting season as the highlight of the Nev Zealand social year He Is a keen shot and has been out for the opening of each season since he has been in New Zealand He recalls with pleasure the meeting of old friends at the duck dinner cm the first night of the shooting season.
He has also shot a number of deer and is taking one or two selected heads back to Holland. Baron and Baroness Bentinck have travelled to many parts of New Zealand. On their way home they will visit islands in the Pacific and make a tour of the United States.
