Indoor Basketball EASY WIN FOR REX A IN WOMEN’S GAMES

The senior competition leaders, Rex A. had an overwhelming victory over the young Teachers’ College team when the Canterbury Women’s Indoor Basketball competitions were continued at Cowles Stadium last evening. Rex was a competent attacking force and played basketball of a high standard. College was unable to match the variety of the Rex attacking play. I. Taylor, B Taylor and C. Harvey were seen to advantage The brisk passing and ball control displayed by J. Taylor was one of the features of the game. For College. V. opponents. In an early game between the two Holy Trinity teams it was expected that the A team would dominate play, but it failed to display any semblance of its usual form Apart from one or two patches the game prdved to be rather a dull display Neither team was able to score after many attempts at the basket For the A team. S. Chamberlain and A. Bodes

were prominent, while A. Woods i Cuadtn played wall for the B team. Rebels A played a much improved game to beat Ranglora. Some good passing between J. Ellison and B Rogers brought early goals and Rebels held a convincing , lead throughout. Rebels dominated the rebounds under both baskets and some good attacking moves resulted. J.
