Hawks added two point* to their score in the competition for the Christchurch Cup when they beat Wolves. 7-2, at tha Indoor Ice Rink last night. Wolves appeared to have the game well under control in the first period and repeatedly attacked. Only some fine work by C. Robinson prevented them from scaring. The only goal of the period came from a solo run by a Hawks’ defender. Wolves continued to dominate play in the second period, and scored twice with good play. Hawks also scored, again from a solo movement In the final period Wolves attacks were continually spoiled by players getting offside. and the repeated and fruitless attacks appeared to tire them out. Hawks finally found form, and their forwards scored five goals. Scorers were: Hawke: G. Bainton (2), J. McCarthy. J. van der Griend. B. O'Connor, B. Offord. A. Hamilton. Wolves: W. Wendlekln, I. McDonald. The teams were:— Wolves: A. Smith (goal), J, Brlzzell, H. van der Velden, W. Wendlekln. G. Hartley. J. Begej, G. Atkinson. P. Willman. J. Murphy, I. McDonald. G. Planicka.

The referees were Messrs O. Murphy and B. Lester.
