INVITATION TO DR. GRAHAM
No Decision Yet By Evangelist
A decision has not yet been made by the‘American evangelist, Dr. Billy Graham, on the request by the National Council of Churches that he conduct a major crusade in New Zealand in 1964.
A reply from the co-ordin-ator of the Billy Graham team in the United States says that until Dr. Graham recovered from his illness and 'has had an opportunity to reconsider his commitments it will not be possible to give a clear answer to the request.
The reply says that already the 1964 programme is full. "Die programme for 1965 has not yet been planned, but as soon as any kind of encouragement can be given the team will get in touch with toe national council In the meantime the churches in the Dominion are proceeding with their plan to establish a committee which will make detailed arrangements for toe crusade.
Royal Reception.— A newspaper poll has shown 19.261 readers for and 792 against the name "royal,” announced last week for Australia’s decimal currency unit—Melbourne, June 10.
