TWO TRUCKS COLLIDE
Man Killed, 2 Injured (N Z Press Association) AUCKLAND. June 10 One man was killed and wo others injured when two ‘rucks collided-on the Great South road at Takanin.l about 8.30 this morning The man killed was driving an unladen coal truck south He was: . Lloyd Saunders, aged 45 single, of 56 P.lkington road. Panmure. Auckland The men injured were travelling northwards in a three-ton truck. They are Ray Dawson aged 27. a driver, of Tironui Station road. Papakura. who was taken to Middlemore Hospital with concussion and head, face and leg lacerations. The passenger. Alan Finney. aged 23. also had concussion. suspected broken ribs, and head and face lacerations.
R.S.A. Membership.— There were 4951 members in the O iristchurch Returned Services Association at the end of May this year The executive was told last evening that this figure was a decrease of 197 against the total up to the same period last year.
