U.S. Planes To Overfly Cuba
(N Z. P A -Reuter—Copyright; WASHINGTON. June 6 The United States State Department today advised American commercial airlines they could make flights over Cuban territory on their routes to Latin America, with “minimal" risk. Such flights were barred during the Cuba missile crisis last October The State Department acted because “foreign airlines have overflown without incident during the last several months.” Officials emphasised that no resumption of commercial air service between the United States and Cuba was contemplated at present.
