"The Press’ Special Service DUNEDIN. May 31. Tombob, a form runner and a light-weight fancy for the Winter Handicap, is unlikely to take his place in the field for the second leg of the Dunedin Jockey Club’s double tomorrow
The Kurdistan gelding injured a leg when rolling after his work on Thursday, and his trainer H J Powell said that there was not much chance of Tombob starting on the first day of lhe meeting Promise injured a leg when schooling during the week and has been scratched from the Tahuna Steeples He should be able to race on a later day of the meeting The stable horseman. R O Cairns will now have the mount on Sydtrev With Warfare out of the Winter Handicap, J R Dowling will have the mount on Palisade. ( Bador (R N Marsh i schooled well over a round of hurdles, but he has been scratched from the Greenfield Hurdles The Gabador gelding has been suffering from a cut leg and he wifi be reserved for the second or third day of the meeting Additional riders for the meeting include:—
