MADE FALSE CLAIMS
Chemist Fined £495 (N.Z Press Associatton) AUCKLAND. May 30. A Birkenhead chemist. Walter Hugh Simons, was ordered to pay a total of £495 3s in fines and costs when he appeared for sentence before Mr F M. Hardy SM., in the Magistrate's Court at Auckland today Simons last week pleaded guilty to 54 charges of misleading the Medical Officer of Health by presenting false claims for payment. He was also ordered to make £3O 15s restitution to ’he Social Security Department
Detonators Stolen.—A box containing 93 detonators has been stolen from a shed in Masterton. police said yesterday.— (P-A.)
