Low Price For Land
A block of land offered for auction in Greymouth was sold at less than £2 an acre. The freehold land, approximately three miles from Greymouth on the Taylorville road, was offered by the Blenheim Official Assignee in the matter of Edward Airey. bankrupt, of Christchurch. Bidding started at £25 for the block, which is 53 acres 2 roods 20 perches, and rose in £5 bids to £BO, at which figure it was sold.
