R. MURRAY CHARGES
One Acquitted, Two Fined (N.Z. Press Assn.— Copyright) MELBOURNE. May 28. Two directors of Reid Murray Holdings, Ltd, were today convicted and fined for breaches of the Companies Act—failing to hold an annual general meeting and lodging an annual return to the Registrar of Companies.
Robert Leslie Montgomery, a company director, of Balwyn, was fined £lO on each of four 'charges as a director of Reid Murray Holdings, Ltd, and Reid Murray Acceptance, Ltd.
Philip Thomas Jelynack. a primary producer, of Bundoora, was fined £lO, on each of two charges’ as a director of Reid Murray Holdings. Ltd.
Six directors of the companies pleaded not guilty to having failed to hold an annual general meeting in 1962, and having failed to lodge an annual return with the registrar of companies for 1962.
Last week, one of them. Kenneth. Norman Wilkinson, was fined £5O. Charges against the other directors have yet to be heard. Two charges against Joseph Guss, a solicitor, alleging breaches of the Companies Act as a director of Reid Murray Holdings, Ltd, were dismissed by Mr K. Hudspeth, S.M, late today. Mr Hudspeth said he did not feel that the Crown had proved its case beyond reasonable doubt.

(N.Z. Press Assn.— Copyright) MELBOURNE, May ’3. Another five companies of the Reid Murray group are to be investigated under authorisation by the Victorian Executive Council today. The companies are: Lustre Hosiery, Ltd, Titan TV, Ltd, Titan Insurance Company, Ltd., Euro Build Pty, Ltd., and World Wide TV Homes Pty, Ltd.
