ANCIENT ORDER OF FORESTERS
District Officers Elected The one hundredth annual meeting of the Canterbury United District of the Ancient Order of Foresters was held in the Belfast KS-A. Hall on Saturday evening. The celebration of the centenary of the order in Canterbury will be held in September. Membership at the end of the year stood at 1938. and district funds totalled
£65,453. Benefits paid during the year from district funds, only, amounted to £2381. Officers elected were; District chief ranger, Mr J. L. Stead; district sub-chief ranger, Mr A. H. Arthur; immediate past district chief ranger, Mr R. E. Cunningham; woodward, Mr C. W. Truscott; beadle, Mr G. Glassey; ritual supervisor, Mr J. R. Hide; treasurer, Mr P. D. Haines; secretary, Mr I. M. Clothier; trustee, Mr.L. Neilson; auditors, Messrs ,O. E. A. Fairbrass, M. J. Anderson, and M. D. Gillespie.
