N.Z. Fencers Beaten
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) BRISBANE. May 12. In a closely-fought sabre contest. the combined New Zealand University men's fencing team was beaten by the Queensland State team yesterday, by nine bouts to seven. The star fencer was toe New Zealander, M. Woods, who was undefeated in his four matches. In the women’s contests, the Queensland team won by 10 bouts to six. Miss S. Tiddy, of New Zealand, won three of her tour contests.
