Darfield defeated United by 17 points to 3 in the Malvern Sub-union competitions on Saturday. Darfield made every effort to use its backs and J Hotop and H. Heeney stood out in this department. S. Mitchell, H. Mitchell, and A. Hopkinson were the best of the Darfield forwards. Darfield's pointe came from tries by J. Ghent, S. Mitchell. H. Mitchell and M. Redfern (2) A. Olliver. the hooker, had a field day and was the outstanding forward. For Kriwee tries were scored by Milliken, B. Hurst and Calder. Calder also kicked a penalty. O.
