Papauui Road
Sir,—I suggest it would be appropriate if the name of Papanui road were changed to Papanoisy, or Rowdanui road. _ Certainly the “cadences” of everything of motorised contraption grow more deafening as the day advances; all supported by bus brakes in the motif of the “Shriek of Araby.” Really, the cacophony and the bedlam would lead one to suppose we were in a Heath Robinson brainstorm. And as for tire dangers to the venturesome pedestrian, the traffic would not give one time to sign his wall, let alone make it—Yours, eteR. M. THOMSON. May 12, 1963.
