“New Emerging Force” Games

“Games of the New Emerging Force” (GANEFO) will be held in Djakarta in November this year, it was announced after three days' conference of 10 countries yesterday. It aimed at encouraging the promotion of the independent development of sports and physical culture and sports movements in all countries of the new emerging forces. The games will be held every four years. The 10 countries attending the conference were Cambodia. China, Guinea, Indonesia, Iraq, Mali, Pakistan. North Vietnam, United Arab Republic, and the Soviet Union.
