Boys Damaged Headstones

WELLINGTON, May 2 Three 14-year-old schoolboys who appeared before Mr J R Drummond. S M., tn the Children's Court at Upper Hutt today admitted charges of discharging a firearm in the Woodville Cemetery and damaging monuments.
“You damaged property decent people respect and a cemetery is a place for quiet and respectful behaviour.” the Magistrate told the boys
Al) three were placed under Child Welfare supervision for 12 months, and the parents of two boys were ordered to pay restitution of £25 for each
Nine Killed.— An Americar and eight Japanese were killed todav when a seaplane of the Nitto Airlines crashed into a mountain on Awaji Island, western Japan.— (Tokyo, May 1.)
