PLUNKET ROOMS AT WOODEND
Work on the new Plunket rooms at Woodend had started, it was reported to th annual meeting of the Woodend-Waikuku subbranch of the Plunket Society. The sub-branch had a successful year with its fundraising activities. There was a ready response from the surrounding districts. Miss M. Robinson, a visiting teacher from the Education Department, addressed the meeting. Officers elected were: patronesses, Mesdames L. J. Stokes and G. R. Macdonald; president, Mrs M. Livingstone; vice-presidents, Mesdames A- Cross and P. Brady; secretary, Mrs I. Robinson; treasurer, Mrs F. Duncan; auditor, Mr G. Appleton; committee, Mesdames A. Sheppard, J. Robertson, J. Ayres, A. Smith, K. Stokes, I. Thomson, C. Harris, R. Hewitt, A. Morriss, E. Gillman, G. Wyllie, W. 8001, R. Tull, O Smith, C. Moore, F. Moody, D Bennett, L. Wilson, H Connell.
