Manufacturers’ Survey
A quarterly survey of Canterbury business made by the Canterbury Manufacturers' Association showed an upward trend, said the president of the association (Mr R. H. Stewart) last night at the monthly meeting of the association’s council. He said that sales, compared with the March quarter of 1962. were up 5 per cent.; forward orders were up .5 per cent.; stocks of finished goods were up .5 per cent.; staff employed were down 1.25 per cent.; and net overtime worked was up 1 per cent.
